Gateway Trunk Descriptors (EX Controller)

Purpose:

The Gateway Trunk Descriptors form allows you to configure the EX Controller's trunk-specific data and provide status information on the selected trunk. This form consists of two grids:

The upper grid displays the list of available endpoints
The lower grid displays the status information and the settings of the selected end point.

NOTE: This form is applicable only to the EX Controller.

Use this form when performing the following tasks:

Conditions

This form supports the configuration of ISDN (PRI), R2 and E&M trunk types only. For LS trunks, only the link status (Up or Down) is displayed.
If you change the Gateway Trunk Descriptor Endpoint Type, the EX Controller services are restarted and all the trunks are taken out of service.

PLID	Read-only field. Indicates the Physical Location Identifier (PLID) of the selected end point.	Not applicable
Link State	Read-only field. Indicates the connection status (Up or Down) of the EX controller.	Not applicable
Line Type	Select a line type: For DS1 T-Carrier Signaling, select T1 For E1 E-Carrier Signaling, select E1 NOTES The T1 line type value is not valid if the Signaling field is set to R2. You must restart the system after you modify the Line Type for the changes to take effect.	E1
Signaling	Select the signaling protocol for the port: For Integrated Services Digital Network, select ISDN For E1-R2 CAS Signaling Protocol, select R2 For E&M CAS Signaling Protocol, select EAM NOTE: The R2 signaling type value is not valid if the Line Type field is set to T1.	R2
Endpoint Type	Select the endpoint type: For Terminal Equipment, select Te For Network Termination, select Nt	Te
Trunk Type	Read-only. Indicates the trunk type.
